The importance of photography
We work with a number of great photographers at Cargo. Each have their own specific skillsets or niches. So when projects come along, you have to be able to use the right person for the job. We have been admirers of John Donoghue for a long time, but the right projects have never come along to enable us to work with him. Until now.
In the latter part of this year we have been working with John on a number of projects for both Northern Powergrid and Customer Led Network Revolution in addition to a project for engineering firm Fraser Hydraulic Power.
John’s ability to capture not only landscapes and portraits, but be able to merge the two together, capturing people in their work places is what made a real difference to this work. Working with a range of personalities and effortlessly being able to relax them time and again to get that one ‘hero’ image, along with a range of library shots has never failed to amaze (and entertain) us.
So we have gotten to know each other pretty well over the course of the last few months. John has gone above and beyond for this work, the locations have been distant, cold and windy, there have been extremely early starts and particularly late finishes, but the results simply speak for them selves.
You can see more of his work here.
